This kinda struck me hard because despite the short time that Lin spent with Tenzin’s family, she looks (in my opinion) a little attached to the family. What caught my attention the most was Pema’s face. These two women, whether it be now and then, loved the same man. Tenzin told Korra that Lin once attempted to “arrest Pema”. They should have been enemies but Lin protected them due to her friendship with Tenzin. I feel like if given enough time, Lin and Pema could have been good friends. Lin would be the ‘Mai’ to Pema’s ‘Ty Lee’, the ‘Toph’ to Pema’s ‘Katara’, and the ‘Zuko’ to Pema’s ‘Aang’. This face that Pema makes, she knows immediately what Lin is about to do but seems to be hurt, worried, and a little of ‘disbelief’ at what her once-rival is willing to do. I hope Lin does come back and that there is an episode where Pema and Lin put their differences aside to be friends. 14 notes
